Former Baltimore Ravens CB Evan Oglesby
Evan Oglesby, born and raised in Toccoa, Georgia, graduated in 2000 from Stephens County High School where he was All-State his Senior year. Evan furthered his education at The University of North Alabama where he became a 2 year All-American Cornerback. Throughout his time in college and coming from a background of always having to prove himself, Evan developed the necessary work ethic and desire to consistently be the best. Evan’s personal saying is, "when talents not enough, that’s when hard work kicks in."
After graduating from the University of North Alabama in 2005, Evan went on to join the elite ranks of the NFL by signing an undrafted free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills. Evan’s NFL career spanned approximately five years where he played as a Cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, and Miami Dolphins.
Since retiring from the NFL, Evan founded the non-profit Education & Opportunity (E.O.) Foundation where the organization has provided the youths of Toccoa, Georgia a positive environment for renewable academic services and athletic training to empower self-growth and positive community awareness.
Being an undrafted free agent, Evan had to compete and persevere against other higher ranked well-known players to have an opportunity to compete each and every Sunday during his NFL career. Throughout all of his perseverance, Evan realized that while not everyone can play in the NFL, everyone can use football as a vehicle to obtain a free education. His mission now is to provide student athletes the necessary tools and skills both on and off the field to help them create an opportunity where sports can act as a vehicle to fund their education as well as reach for their dreams.
New England Patriots Superbowl XXXVI Champion J.R. Redmond
J.R. Redmond was drafted by the New England Patriots in the 3rd round of the 2000 NFL draft. He played for the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, and Arizona Cardinals. He caught three passes in the Patriots' game-winning overtime drive of the famous "Snow Bowl" playoff game against the Oakland Raiders. J.R. went on to assist The Patriots with winning their first Superbowl title, by catching passes and shedding tackles during their final drive of the game.
As a punt returner and running back for Arizona State University, J.R. received Offensive MVP recognition three out of his four years of attendance, despite only starting two seasons. He participated in the Rose Bowl, the Sun Bowl and the Aloha Bowl and was a Doak Walker finalist and Heisman Trophy candidate. While attending Carson High School, he was ranked the #1 defensive back in the state and the #6 athlete in the nation, and was the MVP as a 1994 4A city champion.
In 2000, J.R. established Just Run Pro Training which offers life skills and athletic training to youths throughout the United States and Canada. J.R. is also the founder of an associated social networking site, www.justruntraining.com.
The Just Run Pro Training website caters to students and student-athletes who aspire to attend college. This site is also beneficial to individuals that are training enthusiasts and coaches. The mission of Just Run Pro Training is to provide both academic and athletic training to youths to ensure their future success by empowering them with physical and personal skills that align with the six pillars of character--Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. Whether on or off the field, J.R.’s motto for success is, “Pain is Temporary, Pride is Forever. Go Hard or Go Home. Just Run. Train for Life.” He not only earnestly attempts to help others to accomplish their absolute best, but strives to be a living example of how hard work pays off.
Just Play employs college, high school or youth club coaches to support our professional athletes during the entire camp experience. The level of coaches Just Play provides largely depends on the type of camp, age group being trained, location of the camp and availability.
Just Play has taken all necessary steps to ensure our camps are run in a safe and structured environment. While it is not uncommon for camps to have a counselor staff which consists of school teachers, doctors, police officers, business owners, or high school/ college age students; our counselor staff is comprised solely of father volunteers. This policy has been put into place at our camps to ensure we have a group of counselors that really knows the meaning of the word "responsibility".
*Counselor Staff are available for overnight camps only.
*All volunteer counselors are required to submit to a background check prior to receiving approval to work a specified camp.
Athletic Training Staff
Just Play employs at least two certified athletic trainers or EMT's. At least one athletic trainer or EMT must be on site at all times.
